Developing an impact model is essential for understanding the positive outcomes an organisation hopes to create.
Here’s an example of the components of an impact model:
Image description: Diagram of Ākina Impact Model. Four bolded arrow boxes, Arrow 1: 'Purpose', why you exist, problem, situation, stakeholder. Arrow 2: Activities, what you do, day to day activities. Arrow 3: Outcomes - how change happens, short, medium and long term. Arrow 4: Positive change, your goal or purpose. The diagram moves into four boxes at the bottom of the diagram - box one (flowing from the impact arrow) ‘Collect impact data’, box two: analyse your impact. Box three: report your impact. Box four: include decision making which flows back into arrow one - purpose.
