Impact Enterprise Fund 2023 Impact Report

As part of its role in the Impact Enterprise Fund (IEF), Ākina, in partnership with New Ground Capital and Impact Ventures NZ, is excited to share the fourth annual impact report.

The annual impact report celebrates the urgent and innovative action of our portfolio businesses to meet the biggest challenges for our people and planet, and the economy. This positive impact contributes to the collective effort needed by all of us to get back within our planetary boundaries.

Collectively the IEF portfolio, from 2018-2023, has:

  • Reduced over 130,000 tonnes of CO2e emissions.

  • Avoided over 700,000 kgs of waste.

  • Enabled over 19,000 qualifications to be completed.

  • Made $7.2m impact investments into 9 businesses.

  • Created 101 new jobs.

  • Invested $17.2m into research and development by businesses.
