Rachel has spent the last 12 years working in Sydney, London and New York. She has recently returned to New Zealand to be closer to her family and dedicate her skills to working in social enterprise.
Rachel studied Information Systems and Information Management at Massey University before working for Internet technology companies AOL and Monster.com in sales, business development and marketing. She then moved to London to work for Hitwise.com; eventually transferring to New York to manage a sales and account management team who brought in more than $20m annual revenue.
After a successful six years and the sale of Hitwise, Inc to Experian LLC, the world’s largest credit bureau for $240m, Rachel left to join social enterprise technology start-up, Catchafire Inc. Rachel’s role as Head of Revenue was to develop revenue streams and hire a high performing team to achieve mission goals. Although she has moved home, Rachel remains an adviser to the company.
Throughout her career Rachel has worked pro-bono for many local and international Non Profit Organisations. Rachel is passionate about social enterprise and the use of technology and business models to empower communities and drive social change.
Rachel is based in Auckland.
