Emily has worked in the ‘for-purpose’ sector in the UK, Australia and New Zealand for more than a decade. Over the past six years her focus has been on helping social entrepreneurs and non-profit leaders to develop their organisational capacity and programmatic impact from start-up, through growth and replication. Prior to this, Emily held roles with IBM and Penguin Books, developing and managing corporate citizenship and employee volunteering programmes. She has a particular interest in cross-sector collaboration to achieve social outcomes.
Emily is passionate about education, both for its ability to empower individuals to overcome social disadvantage, and as a tool to spread best practice and accelerate impact between organisations. She has taught in schools in the UK, Paraguay and Hong Kong, and designed and facilitated learning networks and communities of practice between organisations both internationally and at a local level.
Emily is currently on parental leave.
