Clementine Baker

Clementine is an Ākina Venture Manager, with ten years experience helping organisations to grow and increase their social impact as a social impact consultant, board director and lawyer.

Prior to joining Ākina, Clementine worked for Social Ventures Australia with non-profit, Māori and Aboriginal, government, and corporate clients to design and implement strategies, outcomes, management solutions and organisational changes that support the organisations to increase their social impact and reduce disadvantages. She helped develop innovative solutions to challenging problems through community-led solutions, collective impact, and corporate partnerships. She supported the sector to adopt an outcomes-focused approach, enabling organisations to prove and improve what they do.

Clementine was previously a charities and not-for-profits lawyer advising on entity structures, tax exemptions and governance. She served as a board director of the Good Sams Foundation, supporting women and children to lead fulfilling, violence-free lives.
