Chris Blues

Before joining Akina, Chris worked in consulting and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with EY. He worked on a range of projects across the financial services sector and specialised in providing performance improvement, assurance and anti-money laundering services whilst progressing youth employability programmes with the EY Foundation.

Chris has co-founded social enterprises in the UK and Eastern Africa and has worked with foundations, social investors, social enterprises and NGOs such as Esmee Fairbairn, FutureLearn and Little Big Africa. He is an expert in social impact measurement, scaling organisations, strategy and facilitation.

Chris is passionate and committed to social issues globally and really enjoys the challenge of scaling an organisation to increase impact. He completed a one year social enterprise leadership programme called On Purpose, holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Bristol and is a published author in the Biogeosciences journal.
