Anne Purcell

Anne comes to Ākina with a passion to see whānau and communities flourish through community led economic development. She set up a Social Enterprise focused on creating pathways to meaningful employment with families in 2016, putting into action learning from study in Social Enterprise at Waikato Management School.

Growing partnerships and collaboration is core to Anne’s approach an well as enabling people to access support and resources at each phase and stage of their social enterprise journey. Anne has worked on developing collaborations and partnerships with health, faith based and community organisations to develop wellbeing initiatives. Anne moved to New Zealand in 2008 having worked in public health and education roles focused on reducing drivers of inequity.

Anne enjoys paddle boarding, craft beer, and dance -usually not at the same time.

Anne is based in Auckland.
