Take your Social Enterprise to the Next Level

Te Hiringa Hononga is a Kaupapa Maori Social Enterprise development programme developed by the Akina Foundation and Maori Womens Development Inc (MWDI) for whanau, hapu, iwi, entrepreneurs and organisations that wish to learn about the benefits and potential of social enterprise.  

Te Hiringa Hononga will run across two regions over a 12 week period and will include introductory workshops (Ngā Kākano), a Train the Trainer programme (Awhi Mai – Awhi Atu), and a digital accelerator programme (He Whare Kōhanga) for ventures/enterprises already operating within the community.

Who’s Te Hiringa Hononga For?


Te Hiringa Hononga is for individuals, groups, maraes, and/or organisations who are interested and curious about social enterprise. Through the programme, learn more about creating an impact organisation and what that might mean for your community.


How to Participate in Te Hiringa Hononga

A series of Introduction to Social Enterprise workshops and the HineBoss programme will be held in both Tairawhiti and Taitokerau April-May 2017. To register your interest generally please sign up below and we’ll send you invites to our workshops.
