NZ Bursary Fund Opens Social Enterprise World Forum 2017 to New Zealanders
Organisers of Social Enterprise World Forum 2017 have just announced the opening of applications for a New Zealand Bursary Fund that’ll help New Zealand’s social entrepreneurs break through financial barriers to attend the Forum.
Social Enterprise World Forum 2017 will bring social enterprise leaders from around the world to Christchurch from September 27th-29th 2017 to network and discuss the future of social enterprise.
The NZ Bursary Fund is aimed at people engaged in social enterprise in New Zealand who need financial assistance to attend the event.
Project Director for the Social Enterprise World Forum 2017 Hélène Malandain sees the NZ Bursary Fund as a wonderful opportunity to grow social enterprise in New Zealand and create an inclusive forum.
“With social enterprise becoming an increasingly popular and effective way of doing business, the NZ Bursary Fund represents an incredible chance to grow the social enterprise movement in New Zealand by giving practitioners from across the country a chance to connect, and share learning and experience.”
Applicants that will be considered include either those who work or have a record in social enterprise, those who have potential to make a big impact in the social enterprise, those committed to contributing to the Social Enterprise World Forum, or those who desire to give back to the community through social enterprise.
“We want to encourage those engaged with social enterprise to get on board with this opportunity. It’s not everyday a huge forum looking to make a world impact comes to your back doorstep. Social enterprise and Social Enterprise World Forum 2017 is for people who have always wanted to change the world, to be superheroes,” Malandain expressed.
Depending on financial need, the NZ Bursary Fund could contribute funds towards applicants registration cost, accommodation, and travel.
Applicants will have one month to apply. Applications for the NZ Bursary Fund will close mid April.
