We’re a Finalist for the 2017 AUT Business School Excellence in Business Support Awards!
We are excited to share that AUT Business School has selected us as a finalist for the 2017 AUT Business School Excellence in Business Support Awards in the Not for Profit category.
As the only national performance measure for New Zealand business support organisations, the Awards celebrate organisations and individuals that deliver quality products and services to help small, medium, and large businesses maximise their potential. This is aligned with the school’s firm belief in the importance of business support in helping businesses increase their competitiveness and sustainability.
Our Chief Executive, Alex Hannant, thinks it is a fantastic achievement to be recognised alongside such high calibre finalists.
“These awards are competitive. Our team work hard to support social enterprises around New Zealand and to be recognised by AUT is testament to that hard work,” said Hannant.
In order to be selected as a finalist, Ākina underwent a rather rigorous evaluation by the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation (NZBEF), who manage the awards. This great organisation supports New Zealand organisations to achieve and sustain proven, world-class performance and results.
It will be wonderful joining other finalists from across 11 categories at the awards on October 4th. Other finalists in the Not for Profit category include BCITO (Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation), Home and Community Health Association, NZ Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (NZVCA), and Retail NZ.
