Introduction to Starting a Social Enterprise
Introduction to Starting a Social Enterprise is an introductory workshop to learn about social enterprise as a vehicle to create positive social and environmental change in your community.
This workshop will cover:
- What is social enterprise?
- What do you need to be successful?
- Starting with your social or environmental purpose
- Business models for social enterprise and how to start developing one
- Where to from here?
You’ll gain a better understanding of different types of social enterprises and the steps to start one. Plus, meet other like-minded people and get inspired!
Introduction to Starting a Social Enterprise is suitable for individuals and organisations interested in social enterprise, including new startup, community, creative and sport organisations.
Capacity builders who support these organisations are also welcome to attend. (In the afternoon following this workshop, Ākina will also host a roundtable for these capacity builders – more info.)
This workshop is part of a series that the Ākina Foundation is hosting in the Waikato. Our workshops combine the knowledge of experienced social enterprise facilitators with practical tools and peer learning.
